Take a chance to witness the majestic Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and incredible Lysefjord. This exciting fjord cruise also takes you to Vagabond’s Cave the Hengjane Falls, where you may taste pure mountain water. Enjoy the striking scenery from the comfort of the sheltered cabin with panoramic windows all around, or venture out on the spacious sundeck.

The cruise duration is 3-3.5 hours. There are no stops or going ashore during the cruise. Audio guide in English is available on board.

Fjordcruise Lysefjord & Preikestolen

This day trip offers three spectacular experiences in one.

First, you enjoy a fjord cruise through beautiful Lysefjord. 
On the way to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), you stop to feed the goats grazing on the mountainside. With luck, you might even see a seal basking in the sun on the rocky shore. 

Then you see Fantahålå (Vagabond’s Cave) where the “vagrants” hid from the sheriff in the old days. Shortly afterward, you see magnificent Preikestolen, 604 meters above the boat, a little while before you hike up to enjoy the view from the top. Then you continue to the mighty Hengjanefossen waterfall where the crew steers the boat so close to the towering falls that you might feel its refreshing spray on your face!

After a fjord cruise filled with good experiences, a bus picks you up at Forsand and takes you to Preikestolen lodge at the trailhead for the hike up to the world-famous Preikestolen plateau. The self-guided hike takes roughly two hours each way and is an unforgettable adventure! Return to Stavanger by bus through the world’s longest underwater tunnel.

Audio-guide is available on board. The kiosk on board offers fresh baked goods from a local bakery, snacks and refreshments. Please bring water and food for the self-guided hike.

Preikestolen Cruise & Self-Guided Hike (Summer)

Meet your private guide for a 3-hour city tour. Today you see Ledaal manor which is a residence for the Norwegian Royal family when visiting Stavanger and have the first stop at Hafrsfjord and the Swords in Rock, dedicated to the historical sea battle. Another site on the list is an Iron Age Farm where you meet the lady of the house and learn more about everyday life as in the old times. The next stop is Stavanger Cathedral and later on, you enjoy a walk through the Old Stavanger.

Half Day Private City Tour

Today you leave Stavanger behind and ride through the world’s longest underwater tunnel to hike one of Norway’s most spectacular walking trails and get stunning views from the top of Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) above the Lysefjorden fjord.

Reach the edge of the near-vertical cliff and test your nerves of steel as you stand or sit close to the edge above crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a light snack as you take in the unobstructed views over a fjord formed by glaciers during the last Ice Age. Reconnect with the wilderness using well marked and easy to follow paths.

Roundtrip private transfers from Stavanger hotel are included. 
Total tour duration is 7 hours with the hike taking 4 hours.

Full Day Private Hike to the Pulpit Rock

Join a group tour and experience a hike to meet sunrise over the Lysefjord. Mett with the guide and have a ride to the start point of the hike and enjoy an 8-kilometer hike with a total ascent of 500 meters. In the morning you also have a well-deserved brunch at Preikestolen Mountain Lodge.

*Note: the duration is about 6 hours. Early start of the trip from 02:15 to 04:15 depending on the time of the year. Recommended items for the hike: hiking boots, warm, thick socks, water-resistant pants, rain-proof jacket, fleece or woolen sweater, warm hat and gloves, a small backpack, water and snacks.
