During this full-day group, tour enjoy the best of Iceland has to offer! From the early morning, your local guide takes you on an unforgettable journey through Iceland’s most diverse area, rich in volcanic and geothermal features, glaciers and rock and canyon formations, waterfalls and fishing villages.

Highlights of this tour are: Godafoss Waterfall, Lake Myvatn area (Short Photo Stops), Vatnajokull National Park, Dettifoss Waterfall, Hljodaklettar Echo Cliffs, Asbyrgi Canyon Tjornes Cliffs, Jokulsargljufur Canyon, Puffins (from May to early August), Husavik Village, GeoSea Geothermal Sea Baths.
In the evening you return back to Akureyri.

Please note: Entry fee to Geothermal Sea Baths is NOT included, but can be added upon booking the tour or paid on site. Those who don´t want to try the baths can spend time in the lovely town, visit the Whale Museum or just enjoy one of the nice cafes in town.

Full Day Diamond Circle Group Tour

Meet your guide and the rest fo the group for a full-day tour of Myvatn Lake and its surrounding area. You start from Akureyri and bening the drive east until you cross Eyjafjörður fjord to enjoy the view of the town, the ocean and the mountains surrounding the fjord. After only a half hour drive you arrive at the picturesque Goðafoss Waterfall for a short photo stop. Upon arrival to Lake Mývatn area, together with your guide you explore the pseudo-craters of Skútustaðagígar and enjoy the great panoramic view of the area. During the next hours you visit local nature highlights, such as Hverir Mud Pools, Mt. Námafjall, Dimmuborgir Lava Fields and Grjótagjá cave. There the rift between the Eurasian & American Continents is very visible.

Before returning back to Akureyri you also visit the Mývatn Nature Baths. The baths are located in the middle of lava fields where you can soak in a relaxing geothermal lagoon. 
In the evening you return back to Akureyri.

The tour starts with a stop by the beautiful Goðafoss Waterfall, which plays an important role in Icelandic history, particularly in connection with the introduction of Christianity.  From there you continue your amazing journey through the areas of extreme contrasts, bird life, flora, lava fields, geothermal activity, geology and saga. Not to mention that you also both see and cross the Rift Between the Eurasian & American Continents.  

The Lake Mývatn area is by many considered the most beautiful place in Iceland. In the evening fulfilled and impressed by the outstanding natural landscapes, you are transeffered back to Akureyri.
