Day 1 - Arrival to Frankfurt

Welcome to Frankfurt, an international financial and trade fair city, which has a lot to offer its visitors! Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

➤ Firebird recommends: Dont miss a chance to try Frankfurter Würstchen - popular sausages in one of the local taverns​.

Day 2 - Frankfurt City Tour

Following breakfast, you meet your private guide and embark on a comprehensive city tour around the main sights of Frankfurt - the city which is a motherland of writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, large German metropolis and a major European financial hub.

Frankfurt's city center is best explored on foot while walking along its cobblestone squares and alleys. You take a stroll in the old town, called Altstadt in German, which is home to the old Römerberg Square, city hall, gothic Old St Nicholas Church, the Goethe House, and many other historical sights. You also explore the Zeil, Frankfurt’s premier pedestrian promenade that ranks among Germany’s most profitable shopping streets, as well as a modern banking district.

After the tour, you return to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

➤ Firebird recommends: Visit the only one tower in Frankfurt that has public viewing platform and offers scenic views of the city - Main Tower.

Day 3 - Train to Heidelberg

Following breakfast, you check out and walk to the train station. Then you take a train ride to Mannheim, located within just 30-minute ride to Heidelberg. Your private driver meets you at the train station and transfers you to your hotel in Heidelberg.

Upon arrival to Heidelberg, you check in and have a good rest.

➤ Firebird recommends: Follow the footsteps of the famous German thinkers and go for a guided or nonguided walk and hike along the Philosophenweg (Philosophers' Walk).

Day 4 - Old Town Walking Tour & Heidelberg Castle

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private guide in the lobby and enjoy a wonderful 4-hour walking old town or Altstadt tour and explore the university town of Heidelberg, with its historic and romantic appeal.

The old town of Heidelberg has a typical atmosphere of the German old quarters: squares where the locals socialize, cobblestone streets with bar terraces, and of course the marketplace, or the Marktplatz.

You get a chance to step inside the Studentenkarzer, the old Students' Prison, and hear interesting stories of how the students ended up here. You see the Old Bridge and admire the Church of the Holy Spirit, Heidelberg's main church.

After the pleasant walk through the Old Town, you board a historic funicular to reach the top of the hill where you find Schloss Heidelberg, the Heidelberg Castle, which is considered to be one of the most important ruins in Germany. These extraordinary Renaissance ruins, that inspired Germany’s Romantics, used to be the former seat of Heidelberg’s Prince-Electors. In the Castle you will also have a chance to visit the German Apothecary Museum and see the Great Tun, the biggest wine barrel in the world, that was able to hold 221,726 liters (or 58,578 gallons) of wine.

After the tour, you take the funicular back down to the Old Town and return to your hotel. You have the afternoon and evening at leisure and can continue exploring Heidelberg on your own, or join one of our optional tours.

Day 5 - Black Forest Tour & Transfer to Stuttgart

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private driver-guide in the lobby and embark on a full-day tour of the Black Forest.

Together with your driver-guide, you explore the character of the region, that was the setting for Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales. During the full day journey through the Black Forest, you see the beautiful Mummelsee Lake, can opt for a hike to the Hornisgrinde, the highest point in the Northern Black Forest, try local wine of the famous Baden wine region, and visit the town of Triberg, home to the biggest cuckoo clock in the world and the biggest waterfall in Germany.

After the tour, you are taken to your hotel in Stuttgart for check-in and have the evening at leisure.

Day 6 - Stuttgart City Tour

Following breakfast, you meet your private guide and embark an entertaining and informative city walk through the historic heart of Stuttgart. In 3 hours your guide shows you all the main attractions such as the Old Castle, Neues Schloss (New Castle) and Schlossplatz, Rathaus or town hall, the ancient gathering place Marktplatz, and many others. This trip through time covers the founding of the city in 950 all the way to the present day.

After the tour, you return to the hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

➤ Firebird recommends: Explore modern architecture by visiting Weissenhof Estate which includes buildings designed by 17 architects from more than 5 European countries. Two of the buildings projected by Le Corbusier were inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites as the part of his "Outstanding Contribution to the Modern Movement".

Day 7 - Day Tour to Neuschwanstein & Transfer to Munich

Following breakfast, you check out, meet your private guide-driver and experience a truly royal day tour of the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle which inspired Walt Disney!

Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year 1.4 million people visit "the castle of the fairy-tale king". Each summer around 6,000 visitors a day stream through rooms that were initially intended for a single inhabitant. During the guided group tour of the castle, you learn about the eccentric Fairy Tale King Ludwig II, a builder of this imposing landmark, his complicated life in Bavaria at the start of the Second Reich and his life-long friendship with the composer Richard Wagner.

After the tour on the way to Munich, you marvel at beautiful sights in the picturesque region of Bavarian Alps. Upon arrival, you check in to your hotel and have a good rest after a busy day.

Day 8 - Munich City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your private guide and go on a fascinating 3-hour tour of Munich's beautiful old town to get an insight into the city's turbulent 850-year history.

With its exuberant atmosphere and vitality, Munich is one of Europe's great cultural centers. Enjoy your city tour around Marien Square, Church of Our Lady and Residenz Palace. In the ancient part of the town the world-famous Hofbrauhaus, the medieval town gates, and the colorful open-air market Viktualienmarkt are waiting for you. Munich’s elegant Maximilian Street offers views at the Bavarian Parliament, Deutsches Museum, Royal Palace and the Opera House. You also pass by Theatiner Church, Hall of Generals (Feldherrnhalle), and House of Arts, the Bavarian National Museum and the Angel of Peace.

After the tour, you have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 9 - Train to Nuremberg & City Tour

Following breakfast, you head for the station for a train ride to Nuremberg. Upon arrival, you walk to your hotel (located within walking distance from the station), leave your luggage at the hotel, and meet your guide for a 3-hour walking tour of the Old Town.

Together with your local guide you dive into the history of the Medieval city with narrow streets and spacious squares and witness the beautiful Gothic Church of Our Lady.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg - dominating the historical center of the city. For more than 500 years the castle was a residence of the Kaisers of the Holy Roman Empire and can tell its visitors many legends.

After the tour, you return to the hotel, check in and have the afternoon at leisure.

➤  Firebird recommends: Try the local specialty - the pinkie-size Nürnberger Rostbratwurst, that the state of Fraconia is very proud of.​

Day 10 - Touring Bamberg

After breakfast, you walk to the train station and take a short ride to the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Bamberg.

Upon arrival, you meet your local guide and witness the original medieval and Baroque architecture which has remained completely intact during the World War II.

Today you also visit one of the most famous cathedrals of Germany located in the very heart of the city - Bamberg Cathedral. Completed in the 13th century it reflects several architectural styles, contains many sculptures, and the marble tomb of Emperor Henry II. Nowadays the masses and organ concerts are still held in the Cathedral.

Then you proceed to the Old Court, the New Residence (exterior view) and visit the Rose Garden.

After the tour you take a train back to Nuremberg and have the rest of the evening free.

Day 11 - Romantic Road Day Tour

Following breakfast at your hotel, embark with your private guide-driver on a full day exploration of the Romantic Road, the most popular scenic route in Germany, that stretches from the River Main to the Alps.

During this exploration, you have a chance to experience the charm and authentic atmosphere of the tiny Bavarian towns and traditional villages, its half-timbered homes with flowers in the window boxes. Make sure to charge your phones and cameras, as passing by the vineyards in the Tauber valley and the charming traditional churches, you have a chance to capture many picture-perfect moments!

Today you also explore two medieval walled towns of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the most popular stops on the Romantic Road famous for its gingerbread houses, and Dinkelsbühl, a tiny village with very well preserved its simple charm, before heading back to Nuremberg.

After the tour you return to the Nuremberg hotel and have the rest of the evening free.

The 20% deposit is non-refundable, but you can always transfer it to another trip if your plans change.  Just click on the red button in the top right corner that will take you to the Payment page. After you make your deposit, we will book all things that you chose.

Can I modify my trip after I booked

Of course! You can continue planning and even changing your trip to your heart's content up to 90 days before departure. Just keep in mind that all non-refundable hotels are set in stone.
