The imposing Church of St Donatus is undoubtedly a must-visit while on a Zadar tour. Dating back to the 9th century, it is one of the main landmarks and the symbol of the city. Originally the St. Trinity Church, it was renamed after St. Donat, the Zadar bishop who started the construction of one of the most significant examples of pre-Romanesque architecture of the early Middle Ages.

Often referred to as the Zadar Cathedral, the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, is the gem of the city you don't want to miss the chance to see. It features an impressive exterior with an intricately carved facade and a Romanesque-style rose window, as well as a three-nave interior, and a bell tower, providing marvelous views over the city.

Also known as Narodni Trg, the People's Square is one of the main squares in Zadar and a popular stop on any tour around the city. It houses the authentic Municipal Guard building dating back to 1562 and the Neo-Renaissance Town Hall, as well as other authentic edifices and numerous charming outdoor cafes.

The bay of Telašćica rests on the southeastern edge of Dugi otok island. Its name, derived from Latin Telagus, signifies "three lakes," hinting at the trio of smaller bays nestled within the park's expanse. Telašćica stands as the largest and most sheltered natural harbor along the Adriatic's eastern shores. Within its waters lie five islets, the most remarkable being Taljurić, a small rocky slab.

Teeming with diverse flora and fauna, the area hosts a reserve for coastal or Dinaric donkeys, a Croatian native breed. Currently, Telašćica is home to 14 of these charming creatures. Lake Mir, found in the park's southwestern reaches, boasts saline waters due to subterranean channels connecting it to the sea. Archaeological evidence indicates ancient habitation in the area.
