The National Gallery in London
Located in the bustling heart of London, nearby Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery opened its doors back in 1824, and, to this day, it displays one of the most exceptional collections of artwork. It was founded after the British government bought 38 paintings from the merchant John Julius Angerstein, which were soon displayed alongside an array of donations of artwork from different sources.
