Day 1: Arrival to Tbilisi
Welcome to Tbilisi - the charming capital of Georgia! Your private driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your centrally located hotel.

This evening is free for you, so you can spend it at leisure relaxing in your room, dining in one of the numerous nearby restaurants or starting exploring the city center on your own.

Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour & Folk Show
Following breakfast, you meet with your guide and driver at the hotel and go on an unforgettable Tbilisi city tour. You start with a visit to the historical city district Metekhi, where you see the famous Metekhi Cathedral built in the 13th century and located on a picturesque cliff that offers magnificent panoramic views of Tbilisi over the river Mtkvari.

Then you ride a cable car to the ancient Tbilisi landmark that existed even before the city itself, the Narikala Fortress, also called the mother fortress of Tbilisi, and take a walk around its enormous walls feeling the history of this unique place.

Another highlight of the tour is a ride with a funicular up to the holy mountain Mtatsminda, with amazing views of Georgia's capital and nature.

You then continue to explore famous Tbilisi landmarks including Anchiskhati, Bridge of Peace, the district of sulfur baths as well as wander through the charming streets of Chardin and Leselidze.

In the evening you return to your hotel for a rest. Afterwards, you get ready for an exciting night with dinner and a Folk Show. Your private driver takes you to the venue, where you enjoy a delicious meal and opportunity to learn more about Georgia's traditions and customs.

Day 3: Tour to Kakheti Region & Wine Tasting
Following breakfast at the hotel you meet with your guide and driver and set out for another exciting day exploring Georgia.

The first stunning stop of the day is Signagi - one of the tiniest cities in Georgia. When it comes to tourist attractions, the "City of Love" (as Signagi is often called) can take your breath away with its picturesque landscapes, charming narrow cobbled streets and pastel houses located in the heart of wine-growing regions. During the Signagi tour you visit Bodbe Monastery, which was built in the 9th century and now functions as a nunnery. The refreshing gardens and fascinating basilica hint you the history behind the famous landmark as it was used as a coronation venue by the Kings of Kakheti.

After time for lunch you make the last stop of the day - Tsinandali, a historic Georgian village which is a home to the first winery in the county. Here you discover more about the regional wine in the Shumi winery.

After the visit you are transferred back to your hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 4: Tour on the Way to Kazbegi
Following breakfast and a check out from the hotel and meet your guide and driver to embark on an exciting trip following one of the most scenic mountain roads in the world - Georgian Military Road.

Today you set off on an exciting excursion with your guide and driver following the Georgian Military Road - one of the most beautiful mountain roads in the world. Your first stop is Ananuri, a castle complex on the Agragbi river. The fortress was built in the 17th century with an aim to control the road below, nowadays it astonishes tourists with its beautiful surroundings and the rich history visible in the architecture of the castle. You also make a short stop at the highest village on the highway, Gudauri, which astounds you with the frosty scenery of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range. You continue with discovering the beauty of Kazbegi and a nearby located Gergeti Church. The fascinating church is situated at an elevation of 2,170 m (7,119 ft) under Mount Kazbek, which is one of the major mountains of the Caucasus.

Description for connection

Today you set off to explore one of the oldest Georgian cities - Mtskheta. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has been the capital of the eastern Georgian kingdom of Iberia for many centuries until 5th century AD. During the tour you walk through the old town and step into the beautifully decorated Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, built in the 11th century. After exploring this ancient town, you visit a traditional local restaurant for Georgian cuisine lunch. Following lunch you have a one-of-a-kind chacha tasting experience. The signature brandy drink of Georgia is made from pomace, left from winemaking and is usually about 40%, but can reach up to 60% if it is homemade. The drink is believed to work as a medical remedy too, so cheers! After discovering the taste of the national Georgian drink you attend a churchkhela making master class to unveil the art of creating a delicacy the Georgians are so proud of! During the masterclass you get to make your own churckhela consisting of grape dust, flour and nuts.

Day 5: Arrival
After the tour you are transferred to Tbilisi hotel for check-in.

Day 6: Tour to Uplistsikhe Caves & Gori
Following breakfast you meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby and set out on a five-hour tour.

Af first you head for Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town. The town, which is one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia, played an important role in the history of the country. During Mongol invasions Uplistsikhe was damaged and virtually abandoned in the 13th century. Nowadays fascinating rocky caves complex of Uplistsikhe is a popular destination for tourists visiting Georgia.

After Uplistsikhe you are transferred to Gori to discover the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Born in 1879, Stalin lived in Gori until the age of 4. You visit the old wooden hut where Stalin lived with his family, which is now known as the Museum of Stalin, as well as the railway car which Stalin used to travel throughout the country. During the tour your guide tells you about the role this town played in the Soviet history.

After the tour you are taken back to your hotel in Tbilisi and have the evening at leisure.

Day 7: Tour on the Way to Yerevan
Following breakfast at the hotel you check out, meet your guide and driver and start your journey to Yerevan, Armenia with few stunning stops along the way.

Description for connection

You cross the border between Sadakhlo (Georgia) and Bagratashen (Armenia) and make your way to Sanahin Monastery, which dates back to the 10th century. "Sanahin" is translated from Armenian as "this one is older than that one". The name translation refers to the nearby Haghpat Monastery, which is often described as a masterpiece of religious architecture and a major center of learning in the Middle Ages. Note: due to a road renovation, tour of Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries may be replaces with a trip to beautiful Sevan Lake, one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world, with visits to Sevanavank and Haghartsin monasteries.

Day 7: Arrival
After the tour of the two Armenian monasteries, you are transferred to Yerevan, where you check in to a downtown hotel.

Day 8: Yerevan City Tour & Visit to Etchmiadzin
Following breakfast at the hotel you meet your guide and driver to begin another day full of beautiful Armenian sights.

The first part of this day is dedicated to Yerevan sightseeing tour. Your guide shows you the best attractions and famous historical sites of the Armenian capital in just several hours. During the tour you visit the Matenadaran Institute of Manuscripts, a unique treasure trove housing the world’s richest collection of ancient manuscripts and books.

Later you are transferred to the spiritual center and ancient capital of Armenia - Vagharshapat to explore the cathedral and churches of Etchmiadzin and the archaeological site of Zvartnots which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the tour you visit the first cathedral built in Armenia and one of the oldest in the world, the famous Etchmiadzin Cathedral. You also have a chance to see with your own eyes the Saint Hripsime Church that is the finest example of classic Armenian church architecture. You end the tour of Vagharshapat by paying a visit to the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral built in the 7th century.

After the tour, as the highlight of your day, you visit Ararat Brandy Factory, where you not only learn how Armenians make their signature drink but get to taste it too!

Afterwards, your driver takes you back to your hotel in Yerevan.

Day 9: Visits to Armenian Monasteries & Hellenistic Garni Temple
After breakfast you continue your Armenian adventure with your guide and driver.

At first you are transferred outside Yerevan to explore the Khor Virap Monastery, a famous pilgrimage site located right at the foot of a biblical Mount Ararat. Here you enjoy the most breathtaking views of Ararat Valley and the mountain.

Your next stop is the pagan temple of the early Armenian civilisation in the village of Garni. This ancient temple overlooking the beautiful Azat Valley used to be a summer residence for the Armenian royal dynasties and now is a popular tourist destination. You finish today's sightseeing program with a visit to the beautiful Geghard monastery partially carved out of the adjacent mountain.

After the visit you are transferred back to your hotel in Yerevan. The rest of the day is free.

Day 10: Departure
This is the final day of your one-of-a-kind journey around the most picturesque and sacred places of Georgia and Armenia. After breakfast your driver meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport for your flight back home.

The 20% deposit is non-refundable, but you can always transfer it to another trip if your plans change.  Just click on the red button in the top right corner that will take you to the Payment page. After you make your deposit, we will book all things that you chose.

Can I modify my trip after I booked

Of course! You can continue planning and even changing your trip to your heart's content up to 90 days before departure. Just keep in mind that all non-refundable hotels are set in stone.
