Day 1 - Arrival to Munich

Welcome to Munich! Upon arrival, you meet your driver at the arrivals hall and head for your centrally-located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy Munich on your own.

Day 2 - Munich City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your private guide and go on a fascinating 3-hour tour of Munich's beautiful old town to get an insight into the city's turbulent 850-year history.

With its exuberant atmosphere and vitality, Munich is one of Europe's great cultural centers. Enjoy your city tour around Marien Square, Church of Our Lady and Residenz Palace. In the ancient part of the town the world-famous Hofbrauhaus, the medieval town gates, and the colorful open-air market Viktualienmarkt are waiting for you. Munich’s elegant Maximilian Street offers views at the Bavarian Parliament, Deutsches Museum, Royal Palace and the Opera House. You also pass by Theatiner Church, Hall of Generals (Feldherrnhalle), and House of Arts, the Bavarian National Museum and the Angel of Peace.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

➤  Firebird recommends: Pay a visit to Olympiapark: Munich’s 1972 Olympic Park, where you can ride a zip-line over the iconic stadium, and participate in other sports activities.

Day 3 - Day-trip to Neuschwanstein Castle & Bavarian Alps

Experience a truly royal day tour of the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle which inspired Walt Disney!

Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year 1.4 million people visit "the castle of the fairy-tale king". Each summer around 6,000 visitors a day stream through rooms that were initially intended for a single inhabitant. During the guided group tour of the castle, you learn about the eccentric Fairy Tale King Ludwig II, a builder of this imposing landmark, his complicated life in Bavaria at the start of the Second Reich and his life-long friendship with the composer Richard Wagner.

On the way back to Munich, your private guide-driver can make a stop at Linderhof Palace or other beautiful sights in the picturesque region of Bavarian Alps.

Day 4 - Departure to Nuremberg

After breakfast and check-out, you head for the train station, where you take a 1-hour train to Nuremberg, the second largest city of Bavaria.

Upon arrival, you walk to your centrally-located hotel. The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip. Alternatively, you can choose one of our carefully planned optional tours.

➤  Firebird recommends: Consider visiting the local zoo. The zoo in Nuremberg is one of the largest in Europe, covering almost 70 hectares. This spacious and beautifully landscaped animal park is home to nearly 3,000 animals from around 300 species.

Day 5 - Nuremberg City Tour

Following breakfast meet your guide and embark on a 3-hour walking tour of the Old Town. Together you dive into the history of the Medieval city with narrow streets and spacious squares and witness the beautiful Gothic Church of Our Lady.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg - dominating the historical center of the city. For more than 500 years the castle was a residence of the Kaisers of the Holy Roman Empire and can tell its visitors many legends.

After the tour, you return to the hotel and have the afternoon at leisure, or you may join one of our optional tours.

➤  Firebird recommends: Try the local specialty - the pinkie-size Nürnberger Rostbratwurst, that the state of Fraconia is very proud of.​

Day 6 - Day Trip to Bamberg

Following breakfast, you walk to the train station and take a short ride to the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Bamberg.

Upon arrival, you meet your local guide and witness the original medieval and Baroque architecture which has remained completely intact during the World War II.

Today you also visit one of the most famous cathedrals of Germany located in the very heart of the city - Bamberg Cathedral. Completed in the 13th century it reflects several architectural styles, contains many sculptures, and the marble tomb of Emperor Henry II. Nowadays the masses and organ concerts are still held in the Cathedral. Then you proceed to the Old Court, the New Residence (exterior view) and visit the Rose Garden.

After the tour, you have some free time before taking a train back to Nuremberg.

Day 7 - Discovering Rothenburg & the Romantic Road

Following breakfast at your hotel, embark with your private guide-driver on a full day exploration of the Romantic Road, the most popular scenic route in Germany, that from the River Main to the Alps. On this exploration you have a chance to experience the charm and authentic atmosphere of the tiny Bavarian towns and traditional villages, its half-timbered homes with flowers in the window boxes.

Make sure to charge your phones and cameras, as passing by the vineyards in the Tauber valley and the charming traditional churches, you have a chance to capture many picture-perfect moments!

Today you also explore two medieval walled towns of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the most popular stops on the Romantic Road famous for its gingerbread houses, and Dinkelsbühl, a tiny village with very well preserved its simple charm, before heading back to Nuremberg.

Day 8 - Departure from Nuremberg

This is the final day of your tour. Following breakfast you check out from the hotel and your driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home.

How to book

To book, all you need to do is to make a deposit of 20% of trip price. The 20% deposit is non-refundable, but you can always transfer it to another trip if your plans change.  Just click on the red button in the top right corner that will take you to the Payment page. After you make your deposit, we will book all things that you chose.

Can I modify my trip after I booked

Of course! You can continue planning and even changing your trip to your heart's content up to 90 days before departure. Just keep in mind that all non-refundable hotels are set in stone.
