Day 1: Arrival in Venice
Welcome to Venice - one of the most charming cities of Italy. Upon arrival, you have a private water-taxi transfer to the hotel for the check-in. The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip.
Day 2: Venice Sightseeing
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide in the lobby and enjoy a wonderful walking city tour of all the must-see places.
Your sightseeing program starts with a visit to St. Mark's Basilica, where you can see the astonishing Pala D'Oro altar. Next you go up to Loggia dei Cavalli to enjoy the best panoramic views of St. Mark's Square.
Next on your list is the tour of the Doges Palace that includes crossing the Bridge of Sighs, visiting the old prisons and lushly decorated chambers of the Palace.
After the tour return to the hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure or may go on an optional 1-hour gondola ride (170 USD per person).
Day 3: Day at Leisure & Departure
After breakfast and check-out you can explore and enjoy Venice on your own. We suggest visiting the Peggy Guggenheim Collection or joining a carefully planned optional group day trip to the islands of Murano & Burano (55 USD per person).
In the afternoon you are met at your hotel by an assistant for a transfer by a water-taxi.
Day 3: Arrival in Florence
Welcome to Florence! Upon arrival, your driver transfers you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip.
Day 4: Florence Sightseeing
After breakfast in your hotel, meet with your guide and go on a comprehensive walking tour of Florence's highlights.
Today's program includes exploration of the Piazza del Duomo with a visit to the Baptistery dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
Your ticket to the Grande Museo del Duomo allows you to visit the other magnificent monuments of Piazza del Duomo in your free time within 72 hours: the Cathedral itself, the Dome and its famous Bell Tower.
As you proceed to the main square of the city - Piazza della Repubblica - you pass by the touristic area of the Strozzi Palace a bustling shopping street, via Tornabuoni.
Then you enter in Oltrarno where you see numerous local craftsmen shops and beautiful Santo Spirito Church and Convent, built for the Agostinian monks. In this very part of the city you can find the first official work of Michelangelo dating back to the age when he was 17 years old.
We also visit the Galleria dell'Accademia to see the famous Michelangelo's statue David as well before ending the tour on the Ponte Vecchio.
After the tour you return to the hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure or may go on an optional Uffizi Gallery guided tour (160 USD per person).
Day 5: Day at Leisure in Florence & Evening Wine Tasting
Today is reserved for you to explore and enjoy Florence on your own. After breakfast you can do some independent sightseeing, shop for souvenirs or have a good rest.
Today you have a chance to join our carefully planned optional cooking class and market tour (191 USD per person) or a day trip to Pisa (150 USD per person).
In the evening meet your fellow travelers for a wine tasting organized for your small group. Enjoy a tasting of 3 different wines selected by the sommelier and paired with snacks.
Day 6: Departure
Following breakfast in your hotel, you check out and meet your driver for a transfer to the train station.
Day 6: Arrival & Highlights of Rome
An hour and a half later you arrive in Rome. Your driver meets you and takes you to your downtown hotel where you meet with your guide and embark on a tour to discover the famous ancient treasures of the Eternal City.
You see the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, as well as witness the masterpieces by Bernini, Borromini, and many others.
After the tour, your guide takes you back to the hotel and you have the evening at leisure.
Day 7: Discovering Ancient Rome
In the morning after breakfast, you meet your guide to discover the famous ancient treasures of the Eternal City on a walking tour. Your first stop today is the iconic Roman Forum, situated on low ground between the Palatine and Capitoline hills. Dating back to the 3rd century A.D., the landmark served as the key political and ritual center of ancient Rome.
Today you can see columns and remains of ancient temples, arches, and buildings, such as the Temple of Caesar and the Arch of Septimius Severus, as well as the adjacent Palatine Hill, which was the site of the city’s first settlements.
The next place you discover today is Rome's hallmark site - the Colosseum. Originally known by the name of Flavius amphitheater, it was the biggest and most imposing building of its kind in the Roman world, designed as an arena for the fights of Roman gladiators and could hold up to 70 thousand spectators.
After the tour, your guide takes you back to the hotel and you have the evening at leisure.
Day 8: Vatican Sightseeing
In the morning after breakfast, you meet your guide and walk to a walled enclave and the world’s smallest independent state - Vatican*. When inside the Vatican, you visit private apartments of Julius II, Pinecone Courtyard, Gallery of the Maps, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of Candelabra.
Next, you proceed to the Sistine Chapel, where you have enough time to admire Michelangelo's famous frescoes and learn about the intense relationship between Pope Julius II and Michelangelo that drove the artist to create the greatest work of art the world has ever known.
After a coffee break, your tour continues in the vast open spaces of St. Peter’s Basilica where you see a stunning Pieta - a world-famous work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo, and Bernini's impressive Papal Canopy, a legacy left to the Basilica by the Barberini family.
The ending point of your tour is in St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire Michelangelo's Dome and the gorgeous colonnades designed by Bernini.
After the tour of the Vatican, you enjoy a leisurely walk to the hotel with your guide and have a photo stop at the legendary Castel Sant'Angelo, built originally as a mausoleum, and then used by the popes as a fortress, refuge and a prison.
Upon your return to the hotel, you have the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the beauty of Rome on your own.
*Please note: the Vatican is a sacred religious site thus the dress code for visiting it is applied just as when you visit any church in Italy: no shorts – no uncovered knees and shoulders, no backpacks. Due to religious services St. Peters Basilica may be spontaneously closed, thus entrance to St. Peters Basilica may not be guaranteed.
Day 9: Day at Leisure in Rome
Today you have one more day to explore and enjoy Rome on your own. You can choose from our great selection of optional tours or continue your independent exploration of the city.
Day 10: Departure from Rome
After breakfast, you check-out from the hotel and your driver transfers you to the airport for a short 1-hour flight to Palermo.
Day 10: Arrival in Palermo
Welcome to Palermo - the stunning capital of Sicily. Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the airport, who transfers you to the hotel for check-in.
The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip.
Day 11: Architectural & Culinary Traditions of Segesta and Erice
Following breakfast, you meet with your private guide-driver and embark on a day tour to the Segesta, with its best-preserved Doric Temple, and the unforgettable medieval hilltop town of Erice.
Segesta once has been the most important regional town and trading center, and now it treasures two Classical monuments which you visit: the Temple of Segesta and the Greek theatre.
Then you proceed to Erice, a wonderfully preserved town offering the most breathtaking views and a palpable sense of history. Together with your guide, you discover the city's treasures. Erice boasts 60 churches, some dating back to the early 1300's, and two incredible castles, Pepoli Castle and Venus Castle. During the tour of Erice, you visit the Chiesa Matrice church.
One more highlight today is a visit to the local pasticceria for a tasting of the famous cannoli, Sicilian cassata, almond pastries and other delicious culinary masterpieces. This unique pasticceria is famous for its traditions and amazing taste of its sweets all around Italy and even beyond.
After the tour, you return to your hotel in Palermo and have the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 12: Palermo City Tour & Optional Tour to Monreale
After breakfast, you meet with your private guide to enjoy a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Palermo.
The capital of Sicily - Palermo - has been a crossroads for cultures and civilizations for 8 millennia. Together with your private guide, you visit the Norman Palace and the Palatine Chapel.
Then you walk along Villa Bonanno to the Cathedral in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, just to admire the exterior; continue along Vittorio Emanuele to the imposing Four Corners. Then on to the Tuscan fountain in Piazza Pretoria and just behind it see two splendid Arabo-Norman churches, La Martorana and San Cataldo.
After the tour, you return to the hotel. You have the rest of the day free to enjoy Palermo on your own or join our carefully planned optional tour to Monreale.
Day 13: Departure to Province of Agrigento
The first half of the day is free for you to enjoy and explore Palermo on your own. Alternatively, you can enjoy our carefully planned optional tours like a Trip to Monreale or join a Street Food Tour in Palermo.
In the afternoon you meet with the driver to have a transfer to the hotel in the Province of Agrigento.
Day 13: Arrival and Cooking Class
Upon arrival in the hotel, you have a check-in, and in the late afternoon, we invite you to a private cooking class.
Together with the chef, you start a 2.5-hour workshop where you get acquainted with some typical Sicilian dishes. Today you are fully involved in the process and, in the end, you have a perfect setting for your dinner. Enjoy your freshly cooked meal paired with Sicilian wine!
After dinner, you have the evening at leisure.
Day 14: Valley of the Temples & Scala dei Turchi Cliffs
Today after a delicious breakfast at the hotel you spend the day with your guide exploring famous Agrigento sights and its surroundings.
Your tour begins with one of the two highlights of the city - the splendid Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You then continue to the near-intact Temple of Concord, the best-preserved temple in the world and one of the symbols of Sicily.
In the second part of the tour, you enjoy a trip to the seaside to see the famous Scala dei Turchi Cliffs. The dazzling chalky white rocky cliff eroded conveniently into stairs rises 50 meters above sea level. This natural phenomenon so-called "Stairs of the Turks" allows for easy walking. Its gleaming color is eye-catching enough, but what makes it even more remarkable is that it looks like a staircase carved by man even though its shape is entirely natural.
After the tour you are taken back to the hotel or you may take carefully planned optional tours like the City Tour of Agrigento, or a Coastal Tour with a private guide who introduces you to the history, myths, legends, and local traditions.
In the evening you enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Day 15: Departure to Taormina
In the morning after breakfast, you check-out and your driver meets you at the hotel lobby for the trip to Taormina.

Upon arrival you check-in at your hotel and have rest of the day free to enjoy Taormina on your own.
Day 16: Sightseeing of Taormina
In the morning meet your private local guide. Together you take off to see the highlights of Taormina. During the tour you stroll along the main street, Corso Umberto I, and visit the Greco-Roman Theater that has Etna as its backdrop.
After the tour you return to the hotel. You have rest of the day free to enjoy Taormina on your own, spend time on the beach or dine in one of the local restaurants overlooking the bay.
Day 17: Day Trip to Mount Etna and Wine Tasting
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel meet your local driver and set off on a day trip to one of the most famous Sicily attractions - Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe.
Your driver takes you to an access point - the Rifugio Sapienza on the southern slope located 2,000 meters (6562 feet) above sea level. Here you take a walk to visit the "Silvestri" craters and the latest new lava flows and craters from 2001-2003 and enjoy the desert moon atmosphere!
On the way down you also visit a local winery and taste local Etna wine paired with local specialties.
Once your visit to Mount Etna is over you return to your Taormina hotel.
*Note: Due to the weather conditions and fog, the view of Mount Etna can be limited.
Day 18: Departure
This is the final day of your amazing tour to Italy! Following breakfast in your hotel, you check out and meet your private driver for the departure transfer.
*Note: Departure transfer is included to Catania airport. Should you require a departure transfer to Palermo airport, this service could be provided for an additional fee.

How to book
To book, all you need to do is to make a deposit of 20% of trip price. The 20% deposit is non-refundable, but you can always transfer it to another trip if your plans change. Just click on the red button in the top right corner that will take you to the Payment page. After you make your deposit, we will book all things that you chose.
Can I modify my trip after I booked
Of course! You can continue planning and even changing your trip to your heart's content up to 90 days before departure. Just keep in mind that all non-refundable hotels are set in stone.
