Day 1: Departure
You meet your private driver for a transfer to the station.
Please, note: you may start and / or end the tour to Solovetsky Islands in Petrozavodsk. Contact your travel specialist for details.
Day 2: Arrival & Monastery Tour
In the morning your train arrives to Kem. Your driver meets you at the station and transfers you to a local cafe for breakfast (meal not included). After some rest you are driven to Rabocheostrovsk pier from where you take a ferry to Solovki. The views on the way are stunning, if you are lucky you even can see whales.
After a 2-hour ferry ride you arrive to Bolshoy Solovetsky Island, meet your driver and have a transfer to your hotel for check-in.
In the early evening you walk to the tour desk, meet your private local guide and start a walking tour of Solovetsky Monastery, an important monument included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. During the tour you come to grips with both historical and architectural sides of the monastery and the island itself. Together with your guide you explore the central complex of the monastery, the existing temples and the Solovetsky Fortress.
Following the tour you return to your hotel and have a good rest after a busy day.
Please, note: tour to Solovetsky Islands is available between June 1 and September 15. The program is subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
Day 3: Exploring Zayatsky Island & Mount Sekirnaya
Following breakfast you walk to the tour desk, meet your guide and have a 45-minute boat trip to Zayatsky Island.
The stone labyrinths of Bolshoi Zayatsky Island are the largest pagan sanctuary dating back to the 2nd-1st millennium BC. Archaeologists still argue about the exact purpose of this site. During the tour you explore the mythical labyrinths, the stone harbor and the monuments of St. Andrew's Skete. After the tour you return to Bolshoy Solovetsky Island for lunch (meal not included).
In the afternoon prepare for another tour. This time you travel by bus to Sekirnaya Mountain, one of the highest points of the Big Solovetsky Island. From the top of the mountain you catch the unforgettable views over the northern part of the Big Solovetsky Island and the White Sea.
After the tour you return to the hotel and have the rest of the evening at leisure.
Note: Bolshoi Zayatsky Island is declared a reserve zone; a tour there is possible only in a guided group.
Day 4: Solovki Prison Camp & Departure
After breakfast you check out, walk to the tour desk, meet your private local guide and start a 2.5-hour tour of Solovki prison camp.
During the tour you learn about the history of Solovki prison camp set up in 1923, its later reorganization into the Special Prison and about the fate of its prisoners. You attend an exposition dedicated to the history of Solovki Gulag and to political repression in the Soviet Union.
After the tour you are transferred to the pier and depart for Kem. Upon arrival, you have free time for dinner (meal not included) followed by a transfer to the Kem train station.
Day 5: Arrival
Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver and have a transfer to airport, hotel or other destination depending on your future arrangements.

How to book
To book, all you need to do is to make a deposit of 20% of trip price. The 20% deposit is non-refundable, but you can always transfer it to another trip if your plans change. Just click on the red button in the top right corner that will take you to the Payment page. After you make your deposit, we will book all things that you chose.
Can I modify my trip after I booked
Of course! You can continue planning and even changing your trip to your heart's content up to 90 days before departure. Just keep in mind that all non-refundable hotels are set in stone.
