Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to the lively capital of Catalonia - Barcelona! Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver, who transfers you to the hotel for the check-in.
The rest of the day is free so you can either explore the fantastic center of Barcelona on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.
Optional pre-tour extension available: extend your stay in Barcelona and explore its most outstanding attractions. Contact your travel specialist for details.
Day 2: Game of Thrones Tour in Girona
After breakfast, you have a transfer to train station followed by a 1-hour train ride to Girona.
Upon arrival, you meet your private guide and start a 3-hour exploration of medieval Girona, a charming historic Catalan town on the Costa Brava. During the tour you visit several locations filmed for Game of Thrones.
You enjoy wandering through the narrow cobbled streets of the old town which were transformed into the Free City of Braavos in Essos, a continent away from the kingdoms. Another sight that you might recognise are the 12th-century Arab Baths, the setting for an important scene in Braavos between Arya and the Waif.
You also climb the 86 steps to the city's immense Cathedral, which was filmed as the Great Sept of Baelor, King’s Landing's largest building.
After the tour you return to Barcelona by train.
Day 3: Departure
Following breakfast, you check out and have a transfer to the train station.
Day 3: Arrival
Upon arrival, you check in to your downtown hotel and have the rest of the evening free.

Note: you can add Granada to your travel list and have a day trip to Almeria where several Game of Thrones locations are hidden.
Day 4: Arrival
Upon arrival, you are transferred to your hotel, but don't rush to your room. With less tourists around, the winding white-washed streets and gorgeous tumbledown squares of this beautiful town are an ideal place to have a short evening promenade and have dinner in one of the many local cozy restaurants.
And a little hint from us for the gourmand: eating in Cordoba is a treat - the food is fabulous and the prices are reasonable. Plus, this southern town – once the largest and most splendid city in the world – is the motherland of two delicious cornerstones of Spanish cuisine: bulls’ tail stew and salmorejo (a thicker, creamier version of gazpacho).
Day 5: Game of Thrones Tour in Cordoba
Following breakfast, you meet your private guide and driver in the hotel lobby and head for Castillo Almodovar del Rio, a castle in the province of Cordoba located 30 km (19 mi) from the city. The castle doubled up for High Gardens, the residence of the House Tyrell.
After a tour of the castle you return back to Cordoba. You enjoy a guided walking tour around the most outstanding sights of Cordoba that used to be the largest city of Roman Spain. During the tour you see the famous 14th-century Royal Castle - Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos and of course the gem of the city - the renowned Great Mosque of Cordoba.
You pay special attention to the ancient Roman Bridge. The 1st century BC bridge across the Guadalquivir River served as the Long Bridge of Volantis. Interesting fact is that in the film the bridge was made remarkably bigger thanks to CGI (Computer-generated imagery).
After the tour you have the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6: Departure
Today following breakfast, you check out from your hotel and depart from Cordoba.
Day 6: Arrival
Upon arrival, you are accompanied to your downtown hotel for check-in.
Day 7: Game of Thrones Tour in Italica & Seville
Today you meet your guide and get to experience authentic Andalusian spirit in one of its most important cities and its surroundings.
First you have a tour at the Roman ruins in Italica located just outside Seville. In this fantastic location the final scenes of Season 7 were shot.
After exploring Italica you have a private transfer back to Seville. You explore the beautiful Real Alcazar of Seville - the oldest European royal residence composed of a group of buildings from different time periods. Cathedral and Alcazar along with General Archive of the Indies are registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Seville’s iconic Royal Alcazar with its intricate arches possessed everything the Game of Thrones storyline required. No wonder that it was the setting for Dorne Palace and gardens from Season 5 onwards.
After the tour you return to the hotel or continue exploring the city on your own.
Please, note: Italica tour is not available on Monday
Evening recommendation: crown your day with a colourful Flamenco performance.

Day 9: Tour to Gaztelugatxe - Game of Thrones Filming Location
After breakfast you meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby. Today you experience magnificent beauty of Basque Country at its finest.
We are taking you on a day trip to Gaztelugatxe - a small peninsular island in the Bay of Biscay that resembles a castle; in fact, its name translates as “castle rock.” It is accessible from land via a footbridge over the rocks.
Gaztelugatxe appeared in Game of Thrones Season 7 as the location for Daenerys Targaryen’s ancestral home of Dragonstone. Interesting fact is that the Dragonstone Castle is not real, it was added with the help of CGI (Computer-generated imagery). Instead of the castle there is a small chapel atop the island.
The top of Gaztelugatxe is reachable by climbing 231 steps up a rocky slope. You can try to reach the top. You can try to reach the top of Gaztelugatxe, which is reachable by climbing 231 steps up a rocky slope.
