 Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival to Bergerac, your driver meets you at the arrivals hall of the Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport (or Bergerac train station)  holding a sign with your name on it and takes you to a charming villa in Dordogne Valley.

Dinner is included.

Day 2: Tour to Villages of Dordogne Valley
Following breakfast, you start a tour across Dordogne Valley known throughout France for concentration of the “most beautiful villages” in the country: from Sarlat to Saint Amand de Coly and from Rocamadour to Martel. Visitors to the Dordogne Region relish in each village’s alluring ambiance when stroll along cobbled streets, sit outside and feast on the local produce and watch the world go by at its slow, provincial pace.

Dordogne’s mouth-watering specialities are based on centuries of respect for high quality produce and simple recipes and today you make the most of this huge array of local produce on our tour. Visiting the Issignac and Monpazier Farmer’s Markets. You spend time wandering through the markets and sampling some of the beautiful produce. Sampling apples, strawberries, raspberries, chestnuts that are simply divine!

Enjoy time at one of the restaurants, located inside a former butcher shop tucked away discreetly in an interior courtyard. 

After the tour, you return to the accommodation at about 5 pm and have the rest of the afternoon free.

Your Michelin Star Chef cooks the dinner for you and with you (for those who want to learn more about French cooking) each evening using local recipes and seasonal products picked daily.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included.

Day 3: Day Trip to Bergerac
Following breakfast, you start a day trip to Bergerac which has always been an important trading town, with a quayside on the river where boats used to carry goods to the port of Bordeaux. 

Bergerac is home to Cyrano de Bergerac and to beautiful wine. There are over 300,000 acres of vineyards in the area with 13 appellations for red, rosé, dry and sweet white wines like the famous Monbazillac.

Have lunch in the Ferme Auberge de la Borie Blanche in the stunning village of Domme. It celebrates traditional dishes such as Tourin à l’ail soup and a porcini omelette. 

After the tour, you return to the accommodation at about 5 pm and have the rest of the afternoon free.

Day 4: Day Trip to Sarlat
Following breakfast, embark on a day trip to Sarlat, often described as the pearl of the Dordogne. It is a town of exceptional beauty with its narrow winding streets, stone roofs and open squares. It is one of the most important undamaged medieval city centers in the world.

Enjoying a variety of recipes with duck, such as confit de canard, foie-gras, and the famous Cou Farci. A local producer welcomes you at his farm and you taste delicious duck products. Enjoy a tasting of the famous Monbazillac botrytised wine (which has been affected by noble rot), but also Bergerac and Pecharmant red wine.

Enjoy a dish which is known as Farcidure, made by mixing grated raw potatoes, cooked mashed potatoes, sorrel, buckwheat, garlic, and parsley.

After the tour, you return to the accommodation at about 5 pm and have the rest of the afternoon free.

Day 5:  Day at Leisure
Following breakfast, you have a day at leisure. You may travel to the city to explore its museums, shops, and galleries or stay in the countryside and enjoy the beauty of the Dordogne Valley. 

Traditionally in the evening, your Michelin Star Chef cooks the dinner for you and with you.

Breakfast and Dinner are included.

Day 6: Trip to Prehistoric Caves
Following breakfast, you have a trip to discover prehistoric caves in the region. 

Filled with images that are believed to have been drawn or painted over 12,000 to 20,000 years ago, the caves have become one of the most fascinating attractions in the country.

Today you try a dish called Potée, containing both meat and vegetables cooked in broth made with smoked bacon, salted pork, cabbage, leeks, turnips, carrots and potatoes. It is a healthy, tasty dish with little cholesterol and lots of vitamins. Sampling some of the best sweet treats you have ever tried, such as Clafoutis – a moist cake speckled with a local variety of black cherries and Madeleines, which started being produced in Saint-Yrieix in the middle of the 19th century.

After the tour, you return to the accommodation at about 5 pm and have the rest of the afternoon free.

Day 7: Castles of the Dordogne Valley
Following breakfast, you have a trip to explore castles, chateaux and fortresses, dating as far back as the medieval era. 

A favorite getaway for both tourists and French holidaymakers, the Dordogne holds enough beauty and charm to enthrall even the most reluctant visitor.  

Today you visit a local farm to taste local meats, poultry, and organic vegetables. You enjoy country food at Régis Restaurant, served in generous portions and made with local ingredients and vegetables, all grown here. 

After the tour, you return to the accommodation at about 5 pm and have the rest of the afternoon free.

Today you enjoy a farewell dinner cooked by you and your Michelin Star Chef.

Day 8: Departure
This is the last day of your culinary escape in the Dordogne Valley region. Your driver meets you at your accommodation and takes you to the Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport or Bergerac train station depending on where you travel next. 

We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future vacations!

How to book

To book, all you need to do is to make a deposit of 20% of trip price. The 20% deposit is non-refundable, but you can always transfer it to another trip if your plans change.  Just click on the red button in the top right corner that will take you to the Payment page. After you make your deposit, we will book all things that you chose.

Can I modify my trip after I booked

Of course! You can continue planning and even changing your trip to your heart's content up to 90 days before departure. Just keep in mind that all non-refundable hotels are set in stone.
