There's no denying that Norway is one of the most naturally beautiful destinations of our planet. And the jaw-dropping petite town of Flam is among the less-traveled of its corners, perfectly displaying the entire spectrum of the authentic Norwegian charm. Boasting an unparalleled location in the surroundings of Norwegian fjords, the petite village of Flam is, perhaps, the most inspiring of the destinations for a getaway. Plus, being the key hub of the world's most scenic railway (breathtaking Flamsbana), reaching Flam alone via the longest and deepest fjord in Europe, Sognefjord, passing waterfalls, mountain peaks, cliffs, and valleys is an experience of a lifetime on its own! The location of the village in the heart of western Norway's Aurland is another perk, as this part of the country is perfect for boat rides, hikes, and picturesque walks, offering many gorgeous viewpoints. So if Flam is on your travel radar, make sure to have your camera charged!...

Inspired by the grandeur of European architecture during his travels, Russia's legendary emperor, Peter the Great, laid the first bricks of what later became Russia's breathtaking second capital a little over 300 years ago. With an appearance untypical of Russia, to this day, grand cathedrals, ornate gardens, lush palaces and royal venues, designed by the greatest European architects of the time, line the many canals of the city, all resulting in the most romantic destination in Russia that's often called "The Venice of the North". No visit to St. Petersburg would be complete without time spent in the Peter and Paul Fortress, an exploration of the glorious Hermitage and Faberge museums, a climb up to the St. Isaac's Cathedral or a visit to the colorful Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. And for an even more spellbinding experience, make sure to save some time for the residences of the Russian Tsars, including stunning Peterhof and the brilliant Catherine's Palace....
