Following breakfast, you check out and meet the driver for your departure.
We hope you love train rides as much as we do, as around 8 in the morning you board the Denali Star train, taking you on one of the most scenic train rides in the world.
Bringing a book or another way to occupy yourself might not even be needed as the views from the outside will keep you peeled to your big panoramic window.
You will witness amazing sceneries during your 11-hour train ride from the comfort of your adventure class car. They include winding Indian, Susitna, and Knik Rivers, the expansive sight of Hurricane Gulch from the top of a 296-foot bridge (a view to remember), as well as the backdrop of the Chugach mountains.

Thus, following breakfast, prepare for another incredible day in Alaska. You will enjoy a tranquil relaxation at the Chena Hotsprings and a memorable ride with a Sprint dog kennel afterward.
Day 7: Arctic Circle Tour & Overnight at the Camp
This morning, you leave Fairbanks behind as your driver takes you towards Lattitude 66N - the Arctic Circle. The journey ahead is 5 hours long yet fulfilling. You will go along the Dalton Highway, also known as the “Haul Road” by the Ice Road Truckers, cross the mighty Yukon River, and see the remote wilderness of Alaska.
Upon crossing the Arctic Circle, you will stop to celebrate and take photos. Afterward, your driver will take you to the charming northern village of Coldfoot, where you will spend the night like a local - at the rustic Alaskan camp. By the way, the food at the camp is exceptional!
As a side note, we have considered that traveling this far out in wintertime might present some issues. Hence, to give you some peace of mind - even though we have never experienced any emergencies, we always carry a piece of emergency equipment on board. We also make sure to have a CB radio to communicate with traffic along the road, an Iridium satellite phone, and extra winter gear for guests.
Day 8 - From Coldfoot to Fairbanks
In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, you embark on a journey back to Fairbanks. Your driver will take you straight to the hotel around the afternoon, where you will check-in, freshen up and spend the rest of the day as you wish! It might be a good time to do some souvenir shopping before departure tomorrow.
Day 9 - Departure
After breakfast, you have a private transfer to the airport. We hope you thoroughly enjoyed your Alaskan vacation.
We wish you a safe flight home and hope to see you again on one of our tours in the near future!
