Munich, Germany

The capital of Germany’s most prosperous Bavarian region, Munich is famous for its gorgeous architecture, traditional Alpine culture, and the annual Octoberfest, gathering millions of people from all over the world every year. Even if your travel dates don’t match those of Oktoberfest, we strongly suggest you try some of the world’s best beers while in Munich. The city is famous for its art galleries and museums, including Residenzmuseum hosted in the Munich Residence, that had served as a seat of government and residence of Bavarian kings from 1508 to 1918 and is now the number one attraction....
  • Day By Day

    Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to the magnificent capital of Bavaria! Upon arrival, you meet your driver and head for your centrally-located hotel. After check-in the rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy Munich on your own.

    Day 2: Munich City Tour
After breakfast, you meet your private guide and go on a fascinating 3-hour tour of Munich's beautiful old town to get an insight into the city's turbulent 850-year history.

With its exuberant atmosphere and vitality, Munich is one of Europe's great cultural centers. Enjoy your city tour around Marien Square, Church of Our Lady and Residenz Palace. In the ancient part of the town the world-famous Hofbrauhaus, the medieval town gates, and the colorful open-air market Viktualienmarkt are waiting for you. Munich’s elegant Maximilian Street offers views at the Bavarian Parliament, Deutsches Museum, Royal Palace and the Opera House. You also pass by Theatiner Church, Hall of Generals (Feldherrnhalle), and House of Arts, the Bavarian National Museum and the Angel of Peace.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Introduction to German Beer Culture
Introduction to beer culture is 'must do' tour in Munich, because 'liquid bread' considered to be the national drink of Bavaria and Germany in general.

You first visit Beer and Oktoberfest Museum to get an old recipe of brewing, learn about the development of the purity law of beer and find out the importance of beer in locals' daily life. Tasting at the museum is naturally in program too!

After the tour at museum you head for the location where the main Oktoberfest celebrations take place. Your guide shows you around and tells about the history and traditions of the most famous beer festival in the world.

*Please note: Beer and Oktoberfest Museum is closed on Sunday and Monday. Drinks at Oktoberfest are not included.

Day 4: Trip to the Oldest Brewery in the World & Oktoberfest Dinner
After breakfast your private guide-driver brings you from Munich hotel to the city of Freising - the oldest city in Bavaria with an almost 1300 year history.

Today you get closer to the origins of beer as we take you to Weihenstephan Monastery Brewery - the oldest continuously operating brewery in the world, established in 1040 by Benedictine monks. Upon arrival to the brewery on the Weihenstephan hill, you take a group guided tour of the museum before continuing to the “sacred territory” - the production floor where brewing process happens. The brewery tour is crowned by a beer-tasting session.

After time for lunch you enjoy a sightseeing tour around Freising before returning back to Munich.

In the evening we invite you to attend the world famous Oktoberfest celebrations once again. Table reservation, dinner and drink vouchers for 2 Octoberfest beers (2 full liters) per person are included. After dinner you make your own way back to hotel.

*Please note: make sure to wear closed shoes with a solid sole for the tour to Weihenstephan Brewery. Tour is offered only on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Day 5: Day-trip to Neuschwanstein Castle & Bavarian Alps
Experience a truly royal day tour of the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle which inspired Walt Disney!

Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year 1.4 million people visit "the castle of the fairy-tale king". Each summer around 6,000 visitors a day stream through rooms that were initially intended for a single inhabitant. During the guided group tour of the castle, you learn about the eccentric Fairy Tale King Ludwig II, a builder of this imposing landmark, his complicated life in Bavaria at the start of the Second Reich and his life-long friendship with the composer Richard Wagner.

On the way back to Munich, your private guide-driver can make a stop at Linderhof Palace or other beautiful sights in the picturesque region of Bavarian Alps.

    Day 6: Departure
This is the last day of your Oktoberfest adventure!

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel, and your driver transfers you to the airport for flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
