Day 4: Arrival to Nuremberg & Exploration of the City and Its Underground Beer Cellars
Welcome to Nuremberg, the second largest city of Bavaria. Upon arrival, walk to your centrally-located hotel.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you meet your guide and start a 3-hour walking tour of the Old Town, wandering through the narrow streets and spacious squares. Together with your guide, you see places and monuments dating back to the times of the Roman Empire. You walk to the castle and learn more about the Market square, beautiful Gothic Church of Our Lady, St Lawrence Church, Medieval Tower Nassauer Haus, and other remarkable sites.

After exploring the Old Town, you have an exciting 1-hour tour to the underground cellars dating back to Medieval times when Nuremberg beer home-brewers had to have their own beer cellars for fermentation and storage. Following the tour, you get to try a high-quality pale, red and black beer, paired with local specialties. Red Beer is a trademark of Nuremberg, that is competing with the Belgian beer for the origin of this beer style. Its recipe follows strict regulations of what ingredients can be used, similarly to the Bavarian Beer Purity Law. After enjoying the tasting, you walk to the hotel and have the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Discovering Bamberg & Rauchbier Tasting
After breakfast at your hotel, you meet your guide-driver at the hotel lobby and embark on a day-trip to Bamberg - the UNESCO city and the motherland of Smoked beer. Together with your private guide-driver, you reach the city in about 1 hour and start with a short city tour and see the Cathedral, the Old Court, the New Residence and Rose Garden, and Town Hall.

Following a lunch break, you explore Bamberg from its beer brewing side. Bamberg is famous for a special kind of beer that is called Smoked beer, or Rauchbier, which has a dark color and a smoky, almost spicy aroma of fire. Your guide takes you for a tasting to the brewery that has been operating since 1678, the name of this brewery is Shlenkerla tavern, which means "to walk not straight". There is a legend behind the name and your guide unveils it to you. Then you continue to another brewery dating back to 1649 - Fässla brewery. Traditions are respected here and all six types of brews are based on the water taken from a local 60-meters-deep well.

After the tastings, you are taken back to your hotel in Nuremberg, where you have the evening at leisure.
