The Sicilian capital, Palermo, is an impressive city. This Italian town is home to many sights, such as the 12th-century Palermo Cathedral, the 9th-century Norman Palace, the charming Chiesa di San Domenico, the imposing Quattro Canti Square with inspiring fountains, and, of course, the historic Duomo di Monreale that dates back to the 1100's. The Capuchin Catacombs of Palermo are another popular yet spooky place in the city, holding thousands of mummies and skeletons....

    Day 1: Arrival in Palermo
Welcome to Palermo - the stunning capital of Sicily. Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the airport, who transfers you to the hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip.

Day 2: Architectural & Culinary Traditions of Segesta and Erice
Following breakfast, you meet with your private guide-driver and embark on a day tour to the Segesta, with its best-preserved Doric Temple, and the unforgettable medieval hilltop town of Erice.

Segesta once has been the most important regional town and trading center, and now it treasures two Classical monuments which you visit: the Temple of Segesta and the Greek theatre.

Then you proceed to Erice, a wonderfully preserved town offering the most breathtaking views and a palpable sense of history. Together with your guide, you discover the city's treasures. Erice boasts 60 churches, some dating back to the early 1300's, and two incredible castles, Pepoli Castle and Venus Castle. During the tour of Erice, you visit the Chiesa Matrice church.

One more highlight today is a visit to the local pasticceria for a tasting of the famous cannoli, Sicilian cassata, almond pastries and other delicious culinary masterpieces. This unique pasticceria is famous for its traditions and amazing taste of its sweets all around Italy and even beyond.

After the tour, you return to your hotel in Palermo and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Palermo City Tour & Optional Tour to Monreale
After breakfast, you meet with your private guide to enjoy a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Palermo.

The capital of Sicily - Palermo - has been a crossroads for cultures and civilizations for 8 millennia. Together with your private guide, you visit the Norman Palace and the Palatine Chapel.

Then you walk along Villa Bonanno to the Cathedral in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, just to admire the exterior; continue along Vittorio Emanuele to the imposing Four Corners. Then on to the Tuscan fountain in Piazza Pretoria and just behind it see two splendid Arabo-Norman churches, La Martorana and San Cataldo.

Day 4: Arrival and Cooking Class
Upon arrival in the hotel, you have a check-in, and in the late afternoon, we invite you to a private cooking class.

Together with the chef, you start a 2.5-hour workshop where you get acquainted with some typical Sicilian dishes. Today you are fully involved in the process and, in the end, you have a perfect setting for your dinner. Enjoy your freshly cooked meal paired with Sicilian wine!

After dinner, you have the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Valley of the Temples & Scala dei Turchi Cliffs
Today after a delicious breakfast at the hotel you spend the day with your guide exploring famous Agrigento sights and its surroundings.

Your tour begins with one of the two highlights of the city - the splendid Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You then continue to the near-intact Temple of Concord, the best-preserved temple in the world and one of the symbols of Sicily.

In the second part of the tour, you enjoy a trip to the seaside to see the famous Scala dei Turchi Cliffs. The dazzling chalky white rocky cliff eroded conveniently into stairs rises 50 meters above sea level. This natural phenomenon so-called "Stairs of the Turks" allows for easy walking. Its gleaming color is eye-catching enough, but what makes it even more remarkable is that it looks like a staircase carved by man even though its shape is entirely natural.

After the tour you are taken back to the hotel or you may take carefully planned optional tours like the City Tour of Agrigento, or a Coastal Tour with a private guide who introduces you to the history, myths, legends, and local traditions.

In the evening you enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant.

    Day 6: Departure to Taormina
In the morning after breakfast, you check-out and your driver meets you at the hotel lobby for the trip to Taormina.
