Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to Marrakech - Morocco's second largest city! Upon arrival your private driver takes you to the centrally located hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Marrakesh
After breakfast at the hotel, you set off on an exhilarating sightseeing tour of Marrakech with your guide and driver. During your 5-hour tour, you see the major highlights of the ancient city.
You begin your walking tour in the old quarter of Marrakech where you visit the 19th century Bahia Palace, covered with colorful tile work, and see its eight-hectare gardens with fountains. You then proceed to Saadian Tombs - marble tombs for the Saadian dynasty. Accessible only through a small passage in the Kasbah Mosque, the tombs were neglected until aerial photography exposed them in 1917.
Your next stop is El Badi Palace located nearby and believed to have contained more than 350 opulent rooms, in addition to a large pool, sweeping courtyard, and several gardens. The pieces from the El Badi Palace were used to create a new palace in Meknes, leaving just the shell of the palace behind.
Continue to the souks, the largest you can find in Morocco. We suggest you try haggling as it is an inherent part of Moroccan trading culture. In the afternoon, you venture into the new city and visit the Majorelle Gardens - a magical petite garden estate designed by Jacque Majorelle and maintained by Yves Saint Laurent.
After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.
Day 3: Day Trip to Essaouira
Early in the morning following breakfast, you meet your driver-guide in the hotel lobby and venture off to the Jewel of the Atlantic, the amazing coastal town of Essaouira known for its distinctive white houses and blue doors.
Upon arrival in about 3 hours, you start exploring the former Portuguese fishing village. During your tour, you see Old Medina which is currently part of UNESCO World Heritage and stroll down the Atlantic Boardwalk. Another highlight of the area is the Scala du Port fishing harbor that offers breathtaking views of the Portuguese ramparts.
After the tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Marrakech.
Day 4: Departure to Casablanca
Following breakfast in your hotel, you check out and have a transfer to the train station.
Day 4: Arrival
Welcome to Casablanca - Morocco's largest city and in fact one of the largest and most important hubs in entire Africa! Upon arrival your private driver transfers you to the hotel.
The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the surroundings on your own or take a good rest in your comfortable room.
Day 5: City tour
Following breakfast, meet your local guide and driver in the hotel lobby. You then go on a 4-hour tour of Casablanca.
During the tour, you get to see the major highlights of the city, including Hassan II Mosque, the second largest religious building in the world, designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau.
You also have a chance to explore the Hassan II Square and stroll down the Atlantic Boardwalk. After the tour, you are transferred back to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.
Day 6: Departure to Lisbon
Following breakfast in your hotel, you have a check-out and meet your driver for the airport transfer.
Yellow trams swaying along the hilly narrow streets of the orange-roofed buildings, atmospheric cozy cafes serving delicious local cozidos and peixinhos, historic monuments placed along the shores of the Atlantic, and the sounds of Fado accompanying the composition - without a doubt, the glorious Portuguese capital surely deserves a spot on your bucket list. Just as the country in general, Lisbon is the proud homeland of the world's greatest explorers, like Vasco da Gama and Ferdinand Magellan, whose voyages began right from this edge of Europe. The city's extensive list of sights which are to be seen includes the Belem Tower, Commerce Square, and the Se Cathedral. And the unmissable day trip to nearby Sintra and the Pena Palace can surely highlight the Portuguese discovery of your own!
Day 6: Arrival in Lisbon
Today you arrive in the glorious capital of Portugal - Lisbon! Upon arrival, your driver meets you and takes you to your downtown hotel for check-in.
The rest of the day is free for you to relax or start exploring the abundant heritage left here almost intact from one of the world's greatest kingdoms in history!
Day 7: Exploring the Highlights of Lisbon & Fado Show
After breakfast you meet your guide and enjoy a panoramic walking sightseeing tour of Lisbon.
During the tour you see the most famous attractions, including Restauradores Square with the Obelisk commemorating the Restoration of Portugal’s independence from Spain in 1640.
You take a funicular up to the Bairro Alto and admire the view of the Mouraria district and the Sao Jorge Castle, the charming neighbourhood of Chiado abundant in old cafés, shops and theaters.
Then you proceed to Baixa including Rossio Square, where you learn how the city was destroyed in 1755 by a massive earthquake, and then totally rebuilt to become the city of today.
Continue to Alfama Lisbon’s oldest district to admire Se Cathedral - the city’s oldest church and Commerce Square.
After the tour, you return to your hotel and have some time for rest. As a highlight, in the evening you are invited for Fado Show with dinner. The musical form of Fado was adopted as a part of Portuguese culture and is now a symbol of the nation. Show venue is located within walking distance from hotel.
Day 8: Trip to Sintra & Visit to the Belem Quarter
Following breakfast you meet your driver-guide and start your journey on an exciting day-trip to one of Portugal's most beautiful destinations - Sintra, that is famous for its fairy-tale castles and beautiful scenery. Upon arrival you visit the fairytale Pena Palace with a round trip shuttle bus (up to the Pena Palace).
Then you have some free time for lunch (not included) before your driver-guide takes you back to Lisbon. Upon arrival you visit the Belem Quarter, where you admire the Jerónimos Monastery (from the outside). You also make photo stops at the ancient Belem Tower and Monument to the Discoverers.
After the tour you are transferred back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
*Please, note: due to limited access to Pena Palace, in July and August entrance to Pena can be changed for the Queluz Palace & Gardens or for the Ajuda Palace.
Day 9: Departure to Porto
In the morning following breakfast, you check-out from your hotel and have a transfer to the train station.
Traveling to the coastal corner of Portugal is an experience as colorful as the city's architecture! The gorgeous town, set in the northern part of the country on the shores of the Douro River, is actually the destination after which Portugal itself takes its name. Being the motherland of the world-famous Portuguese port wine, when in town, make sure to discover the wine-making history of the city in one of the many incredible wine cellars which offer tastings as well. What's for the places not to miss whilst in Porto, visit the 14th-century Sao Francisco church, view breathtaking traditional Portuguese azulejo tilework inside the Sao Bento station, stop by the iconic Lello Library which inspired J. K. Rowling, and see the iconic six bridges that connect the city with the most famous being the Dom Luis I Bridge (the first masterpiece by Gustavo Eiffel). Day 9: Arrival & Port Wine Tasting
Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the train station and transfers you to the hotel. You drop off your luggage and together with a guide start a welcome walking tour from Palacio da Bolsa to Luis I Bridge. As a highlight of your introduction to Porto, you walk to a winery for port wine tasting.
After the introductory walk, you return to your centrally located hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free.
Day 10: Exploring the Highlights of Porto
After breakfast, you meet your guide who takes you on an exhilarating walking tour of Porto's main landmarks.
Located along the Douro river estuary in northern Portugal, Porto encompasses one of the oldest European town centers which is in fact registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first stop of your tour is the iconic Lello Bookshop, the oldest bookshop in Portugal. This bookshop was often visited by J.K.Rowling when she taught English in Porto. During the tour, you also admire the most iconic city monuments, including the railway station of Sao Bento, the Porto Cathedral, and San Francisco Church.
After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.
Day 11: Braga & Guimaraes Old Town Sightseeing Tours
After breakfast your guide and driver take you to Minho - the greenest region of Portugal, famous for its amazing landscapes, wonderful cultural heritage, and authentic handicrafts, which make Minho a region with a very unique personality full of traditions.
Upon arrival in the capital of the region - the ancient city of Braga, you visit its 11th century Braga Cathedral (entrance tickets are included) and admire the impressive Sanctuary of Bom Jesus.
You then take a trip to the cradle of Portugal - the medieval city of Guimaraes, where you explore its UNESCO-listed Old Town and visit its famous Palace of the Dukes (entrance tickets are included). After the tour you are transferred to your hotel in Porto. The rest of the day is free.
Day 12: Departure
This is the last day of your amazing tour to Morocco and Portugal! After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and have a transfer to the airport.
