Day 10: Arrival
Welcome to Siem Reap, the gateway to the ancient Angkor temples and the gem of Cambodia!

Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip or start your independent exploration.

Day 11: Highlights of Angkor
Prepare for a day of immersing in Cambodian historic legacy which makes you feel as though you've traveled back in time! Early in the morning you meet your guide and driver and have a 30-minute drive to magnificent Angkor Wat.

You begin your exploration with the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Your acquaintance with this historic and spiritual landmark begins with the South Gate, boasting adorned doors, stone figures, and unique relics. While there, you also visit the temple of Bayon, the centerpiece of the city of Angkor Thom. Dating back to the 12th century, this stone marvel is considered to be a sacred destination. It is believed to be a place where heaven and earth meet, and it was erected to honor a Buddhist king. You get to see the huge well-preserved carved stone faces on its exterior.

Among other places you see today at Angkor Thom are the famous terraces, including the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King, as well as the pyramid-shaped temple called Ta Keo, translated as the Jewel of Crystal.

You will visit also Ta Prohm, famously known as the "Jungle Temple. It gained additional fame through its appearance in the movie "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider," starring Angelina Jolie.

Next on your list is one more major attraction of the Siem Reap province, the marvelous Angkor Wat Temple, a noted UNESCO World Heritage Site. This religious complex, made up of several temples in honor of the Hindu God Vishnu, was built in the 12th century by the ruler Suryavarman II. Today you get to see the remnants of what was once a great civilization by visiting the biggest temple that can be found onsite. Interestingly, Angkor Wat is one of the largest religious complexes in the entire world, extending on a territory of over 200 sqm (2,153 sq ft)!

Day 13: Arrival
Welcome to Cambodia's bustling capital, Phnom Penh! Your driver takes you to the hotel for check-in.

The remaining evening is free for you to have good rest.

Day 14: Phnom Penh City Tour
In the morning you meet your private guide and driver and start a full-day tour around the city's highlights.

Your tour begins with a visit to the city of Choeung Ek, a mass gravesite known as the Killing Fields after the popular movie of Roland Joffre. Then make your way to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Here, on the grounds of what once was a school and was later transformed into a prison, you learn about the chapter of the country's tragic history: the Cambodian genocide of the 1970s claimed over 1.5 million lives.

After your lunch break, visit the Royal Palace, home to the Cambodian royal family. This outstanding complex is among the most-visited and popular landmarks of Phnom Penh. Built in the end of the 19th century, the adorned palace and the neighboring Silver Pagoda are surely worth your time. Note, though, that a certain dress code applies when visiting the sites.

In the afternoon you visit the National Museum and see the world's largest collections of Khmer art. This is the best place in town to dive into the cultural heritage, plus the building itself is very impressive and picturesque in terms of architecture.

After the tour, you return back to your hotel and have the remaining part of the day at leisure.

Day 15: Day Trip to Oudong Mountain
Depart to Phnom Oudong in Kampong Speu, 40km northwest of the city. Enjoy the scenic hour-long drive through picturesque countryside.

Explore the historical significance of Phnom Oudong, founded by King Srei Soryapor in the 16th century. Ascend the main stairway with around 500 steps to reach the summit. Discover the impressive stupas and small temples while our guide shares fascinating stories of Oudong's history.

Capture the breathtaking panoramic view before returning to Phnom Penh in the afternoon.

Day 16: Departure
This is the final day of your amazing exploration of Vietnam & Cambodia. Following breakfast you check out from the hotel, and your driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home.

We hope you are leaving with bright memories and wish you a safe flight!

Plans for Phnom Penh
