Day 1: Departure from Moscow and Tour in Sergiev Posad
In the early morning your private guide-driver picks you up in Moscow and takes you on a 3-day Golden Ring Tour.
In about 2 hours after your departure from Moscow, you arrive to Sergiev Posad. Here you enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour around the most cherished treasures of Sergiev Posad.
The highlight of the day is a tour lead by a churchman in the spiritual center of Russian Orthodoxy - the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius.
After a lunch break, your guide takes you to a cozy town Suzdal.
Day 1: Arrival in Suzdal
After arrival you have a check-in and a free evening to enjoy the atmosphere of provincial Russia.
Day 2: Tour of Suzdal & Departure to Yaroslavl
Following breakfast meet your guide in the hotel lobby and enjoy a sightseeing tour of Suzdal known as a city-museum of the Golden Ring. Suzdal boasts its large number of preserved historical monuments of ancient Russian art and architecture.
During the tour, you visit UNESCO World Heritage Site - the brilliant architectural complex of the Kremlin. Continue your trip to the Museum of Wooden Architecture which is an example of classical ancient Russia.
After a lunch break, you depart from Suzdal.
On way to Yaroslavl you also have a stop in Kostroma where you enjoy a guided city tour that includes a visit to the architectural complex of the Ipatiev Monastery. This place always had a privileged position and in May 1913 it became the center of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Romanovs’ Royal House.
Day 2: Arrival in Yaroslavl
Upon arrival in the city, you are transferred to the centrally located hotel for the overnight.
Day 3: City Tour and Departure to Moscow
Following breakfast in the hotel, you have a check-out and meet your guide at the lobby for a walking city tour around the most interesting Yaroslavl landmarks.
During the tour you explore the architectural complex of the Transfiguration Monastery, visit the Museum of Icons and go inside the Church of Elias the Prophet to enjoy its amazing frescoes.
*Note: the church of Elias the Prophet is open from May 1st to October 1st.
After a lunch break you depart from Yaroslavl.
In about 2 hours after your departure from Yaroslavl you have a guided tour in Rostov the Great - one of the oldest cities in Russia that was first mentioned in chronicles in 862.
During the tour you explore the beautiful Rostov Kremlin, including its famous Enamel Museum.
*Note: Enamel Museum is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Day 3: Arrival in Moscow
Upon arrival in Moscow, you are taken to the hotel or to the airport/train station, depending on your travel arrangements.
Not included: international flights, multiple arrival/departure transfers, other meals not mentioned in the program, optional tours and services, all personal expenses.
