Château d'Amboise: This royal château dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries and is one of the major tourist attractions in Amboise. The castle was a favored residence of several French kings and queens, including King Charles VIII and King François I. It's a great place to learn about France's royal history and to enjoy panoramic views of the Loire River.

Clos Lucé: This is the mansion where Leonardo da Vinci lived the last three years of his life, invited by the King of France. Today, it houses a museum that displays models of the various machines he designed. The building and the grounds, including a beautiful park, are fascinating to explore.

Historic Town: The old town of Amboise, with its narrow streets, half-timbered houses, and charming cafes, provides a wonderful taste of historic France.

Saint Hubert Chapel: Located within the grounds of the Château d'Amboise, this chapel is reputed to be the resting place of Leonardo da Vinci. It's a small but beautiful building with impressive gothic architecture.

Loire Valley: Amboise is located in the Loire Valley, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The region is known for its stunning landscapes, historic towns, and vineyards.

Wine: Amboise is a significant wine region. Vineyards dot the landscape and wine tours and tastings are popular activities for visitors. The region is particularly known for its still and sparkling white wines made from the Chenin Blanc grape.

Market: Amboise hosts one of the most lively and well-stocked markets in the region. Held on Sundays, the market showcases a wide array of local produce, cheeses, wine, and other regional specialties.

Cycling: Amboise is part of the Loire à Vélo cycling route, a well-signposted trail that runs along the Loire River. Cycling is a popular way to explore the stunning landscapes and beautiful châteaux of the region.
